DELHI: the modern capital of India is also an ancient
city whose origins are lost in legend. Hundreds of monuments adorn it, with its
carved and millenary history. From this city numerous
Hindu and Muslim dynasties, including the Mughals, ruled
India. No less than 7 successive cities existed here before the arrival of the
British, who created, by the hand of Sir Edwin Lutyens,
their Soada capital.
12 MAR In DELHI
Breakfast. We will
visit the lotus temple of the Bahai religion, famous for its architecture and
for the message of peace and coexistence, it is a house of Bahi
worship that was inaugurated in December
1986. It stands out for its lotus shape, and has become a prominent attraction
in the city.
Lodhi Garden. Lodi Gardens is an urban park located in
New Delhi, India. Spread over 90 acres (360,000 m2), it contains the Tomb of
Mohammed Shah, the

stone, has more than 20,000
sculptures and statues of divinities. The
building is supported on the shoulders of 148 large elephant statues and on the
inside, it has three exhibition halls located
next to two large water reservoirs. Dinner and
overnight.
13 MAR DELHI JAIPUR
Breakfast. Then departure by road to
Jaipur.
JAIPUR: The pink city of Rajasthan. Jaipur is perhaps one
of the most picturesque cities in the world. It was built according to the
canons of the Shilpa Shastra, the ancient Hindu treatise on architecture.
Divided into seven rectangular sectors, with well-laid
streets, right angles, its planning is a marvel of eighteenth-century urbanism,
when even in Europe there was no similar systematization. Surrounded
by steep hills at three of its heart points, the city is
guarded by a powerful fortified wall, with seven gates. Arrival and check-in
at the hotel.
In the afternoon, we
will go to the city to see the Holi bonfires. Dinner at the hotel.
14 MAR JAIPUR Fiesta
de Colores.
Breakfast. Today the festival of colors is celebrated, we will
participate in the party from 09:00 to 12:00 hrs. in the city.
Lunch at a local
restaurant.
NOTE - This festival
depends on the Lunar calendar and sometimes there is variation of the date of
celebration, in case the date changes, this festival will be
celebrated in the city
that falls.
Free afternoon for
personal activities. Dinner at the hotel.
15 MAR JAIPUR AMBER
JAIPUR
Breakfast. We will drive through the residential and
business areas of the "pink city", passing in front of the Hawa Mahal
(Palace of Winds), one of the most
well-known monuments of Jaipur. We will go to Fort Amber,
the former capital of the State until 1728. A unique experience: we will climb
on the back of elephants
to access the top of the hill on which the fort stands.
Next, visit the panoramic view of Jaipur (named after Maharajah Jai Singh,
prince and astronomer, who
designed and founded the city in 1727). We will see the astronomical observatory that
the monarch himself built, equipped with instruments designed by
himself, of
considerable size, and whose precision is difficult to match even today. We
will also visit the Maharaja's Palace, former royal residence and
today in the museum of
manuscripts, Rajput and Mughal paintings and weapons. Dinner and
overnight.
16 MAR Jaipur/ Abhaneri/Fathepur
Sikri/AGRA
Breakfast. Departure
in the morning, visit of the Abhaneri step well and visit of Fathepur Sikri,
imperial capital paralyzed in time. It was the last city built
by Akbar and
apparently abandoned due to lack of water. We continue to Agra, a city that
alternated with Delhi as the capital of the Mughal Empire.
Arrival at the
hotel.
We will visit the Church
of Akbar built by the Jesuit Fathers at the invitation of Emperor Akbar. Dinner
and overnight at the hotel.
17 MAR AGRA / DELHI
Visit the Taj Mahal,
which with an unsurpassed architectural perfection captivates those who
contemplate it. Breakfast on the way back.
Next, we will visit
the Red Fort of Agra, on the banks of the Yamuna River, in the
heart of the city. It reflects Indian architecture under three Mughal emperors:
Akbar, Jehangir, and Shah Jahan. Within the
